Guess I wasn't done yet..hehe

Look what I made! I recently discovered a wonderful little counted cross stitch biscornu (tufted pin cushion) and just had to try one myself! They have 8 little points going around them. This is my first little one (about 2.5 inches across). I'm definitely going to be making more of these! Happy Holidays to everyone!

And I am writing up the pattern for a scarf I created - Bubble Stripe Scarf:

I've also been working on some counted cross stitch and will upload pictures of those items soon.

Hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!

Where does the time go?

It seems like it was just a blink ago that I last posted here, but when I look it has been nearly a year! Shame on me and I promise to try to do much better for the future. I've been all kinds of tangled up with an assortment of things including making my creations, selling a house and in general just trying to manage day by day to get everything done and this blog has suffered for it. But things are settling back down to normal now so hopefully I will get more into the swing with blogging. I just finished two new creations, a bunny and a bear, named Koby (the bunny) and Cubby (the bear). They are all bundled up in winter sweaters and ready to play in the snow. They even have their little sleds to play with! But I think they are looking more for a snow fight. Their picture is above. Below are a few of other creations I've made over the past few months to try to get things here caught up a bit.

Taffy

Tisha

Icsee

Willow

Bernie

Gilbert

Taco

Minnow
I'm also working on some counted cross stitching, doilies, bookmarks, and a sweater for my daughter. I will post pictures of those as I complete them. Hope Everyone has a very Happy Holiday! Mary

Persephone - Mini Sewn Teddy Bear

~ Persephone ~ Miniature Teddy Bear by OOAK Mini Thread Crochet Artist 5-Way Jointed and only 3.75 Inches Tall Standing ! A Peachtree Cottage™ Bear by Mary Robinson

Memories of days gone by combined with a babylike expression are what make Persephone so uniquely different. Persephone is a miniature teddy bear standing only 3.75 inches tall. She is made from vintage rayon in a beautiful persimmon color with cream ultra suede footpads. Her eyes have eyelids and are shaded to give them added depth. Her collar is crocheted from tatting thread and she has a tatted doodad on her ear. Her name is Persephone (per-sef-a-ne) which is bearese for "sweet innocence".

~ Blitz ~
Miniature Polar Bear
A Peachtree Cottage™ Bear by Mary Robinson
Blitz is welcoming in the New Year. A snow storm is coming, but Blitz is ready for it. She's all bundled up and snuggly warm in her winter cloak. She likes her winter cloak because it has a hood that fits around her ears and has bells on it!! Her name is Blitz (pronounced "bl-its") which means 'snow storm' in beareze.

Blitz is a miniature 5 way jointed polar bear standing only 3 inches tall. She is crocheted from a blend of miniature acrylic threads that make her soft and furry. Her eyes are slightly shaded to give them added depth. Her cloak is made from a miniature acrylic yarn with a satin thread running through it.

More creations to come soon. I've been busy with orders since before Christmas and trying to get things caught up. Happy New Year, everyone!

/bearhugs,

Mary
